ReplyDeleteFor just a second, I thought that was Tim Poovey in the picture. Seriously, though, this is the most tiresome debate ever. A hipster is anyone whose outward employment of some countercultural signifier from the past 80+ years you find suspect or inauthentic, and if you're initiated or informed enough to make that critical distinction, you're probably in a position to have the same judgement passed on you.
