I won an award

For the longest time in NC, I was a beat boy. If it wasn't a digitized drum, I didn't want anything to do with it. I move to Kansas, eat lots of corn, and get all country-fied, and I started playing drums with sticks again. Now, I am in this band called the Ad Astra Arkestra, and we were voted best Experimental Band in Kansas City by the Pitch (the Mountain Express equivalent in KC).  The photo was found on a flicker page showing us collecting our award and was copyrighted, but I posted it anyway cause I was in it, but I will give props to the camera man "All rights reserved by Mr. Forester"

  1. Note that even when Brian relocates and makes new friends, they STILL know...do not let this kid near the mic nor the podium.

  2. The real reason Brian even showed up:
"If there's an annual theme to The Pitch Music Awards — besides celebrating Kansas City's local music, that is — it's alcohol."

  4. Gray- I don't know how they know, but they do. I am in two bands right now, and they both won't let me have a mic.

TWH- Truth . . . almost. The real reason I showed up was that they had an open bar for two hours before the awards for the bands that got nominated.

Alex- People in Kansas don't trust the east coast. Can't say I blame them. This band isn't really the tour it up group, we all have jobs and other hustles. But, if we come anywhere close, I will let you know.
