I'd never heard of this before; it looks kind of cool though. Numerology (http://five12.com/n2.html) is another kind of alternative sequencer that I've been thinking about getting. It basically emulates the behavoir of old analog step sequencers and it's totally modular. You can also do stuff like send LFO's and envelopes to midi controls.
